The first floor of Palaexpo will shelter Italian and foreign firms using biodynamic agriculture’s methods. But that is not all: Vinitaly will suit more and more operators’ and exhibitors’ trade needs. Moreover, the event will draw attention to “Horeca”, that answered the survey “Vinitaly meets refreshment”.
November, 2011, Verona – Biodynamic wines will be protagonists of Vinitaly 2012; the greatest wine showroom in the world opens an international window into a market niche consisting of few figures, but playing a leading role in global demand. About one hundred of Italian and foreign firms accepted to take part into the new undertaking of Vinitaly, its 46th event that is scheduled to take place from Sunday, March 25th to Wednesday, March 28th, 2012 (www.vinitaly.com). Veronafiere decided to change weekly meetings and to reduce exhibition’s days, and this is something brand new.
Vinitaly will go more business-oriented, through optimized costs for exhibitors, target-oriented tasks for operators, and a particular focus on the “Horeca” means. “A development in exhibition organization was necessary to reach fixed targets – states Giovanni Mantovani, director of Veronafiere -; our tasks aim at increasing the acknowledgment of this event on an international level, and raising trade contacts, in particular in refreshment’s and catering’s sectors”.
“Horeca” means has been carried out by interviewing 300 top restaurateurs and, according to the survey “Vinitaly meets refreshment”, it has pointed out that operators need to visit this kind of target-oriented exhibitions. 46% of them declared to have been at Vinitaly, giving a positive or excellent feedback on the event. The exhibition is useful to establish new contacts (53% gave a good feedback, 31% an excellent one), trade agreements (48% and 9%), to understand market trends (46% and 23%). The appointment with Sol and Agrifood Club complete Vinitaly’s offer in wine & food sector.
The appointment also involves Enolitech, a technological showroom for wine and oil supply chains. Vinitaly 2011 reached 156.000 visitors, 48.000 came from more than 110 different countries (+3% in spite of 2010). Germany was at the top of the list, then USA, Canada, UK, Switzerland, France, Austria, and East European countries, like Russia, China and Hong Kong.
