Now the pot is being uncovered. Since we published the story of two young people from Castellana Sicula, who saw a mysterious object, local people are starting to talk: strange sightings in the sky, and mysterious blackouts in the Tremonzelli tunnel, on the Palermo-Catania motorway, with cars stopping. So on the Madonie mountains a real Ufo search has begun. The most recent sighting dates back to the 16th of June. Three young people said that they saw three lights in the sky forming a triangle. The lights moved at a constant speed, until they disappeared in the dark. Now people have started a competition to see who sees the “biggest” object.

 

A local student said he saw an elliptic shade in the sky of Castellana Sicula. The incident happened in February 2009, during a Carnival. “It was a cloudy night, a storm was approaching – said the boy – I was just outside the town when I saw, just for a second, thanks to the light generated by lighting, a gigantic elliptic shade, with a diameter of at least 6 kilometres, but it soon disappeared with another bolt of lightening”. The student’s confession was very brave to speak about such a large object that appears ad disappears in the midst of clouds. The solutions are two: either the student had an hallucination, or the aliens joined the carnival atmosphere of the town. After all, during the carnival anything goes”.
