Flickering balls of light have been seen, moving jerkily and hovering over the villages in the Madonie area of Sicily, leaving open-mouthed those watching them from below. The mystery of unidentified flying objects in the skies over the Madonie mountain range continues. As a result the National UFO Centre and their provincial representative, Professor Vito Piero Di Stefano, have decided look into the matter in more depth. In an interview with our newspaper, the expert talks about the recent sightings in villages skirting the Madonie National Park, in Castellana Sicula, Polizzi Generosa and Petralia Sottana. Reliable sightings, according to Di Stefano, who however, voices doubts about the credibility of Antonino Russo’s account. The young man told SiciliaInformazioni that he had run across “a two and a half metre tall humanoid" in a district not far from the town of Castellana. “There are aspects of this story that don’t convince me" says Di Stefano, “I hope to meet with the boy soon for further clarification”.
