Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti said he was "impressed" by the excessive length of journeys by train from Palermo to Catania "lasting 4 hours," as reported by the President of the Sicilian Region Raffaele Lombardo during the meeting at Palazzo Chigi to discuss the Sicilian crisis. 

The indiscretion leaked during the meeting attended by the ministers of Interior and Agriculture Anna Maria Cancellieri and Mario Catania Thursay. The first topic they dealt with is the problem of truckers who blocked the island last week with roadblocks and protests.
