(essea) Among the Chinese expressions regarding the World's Fair, the most popular is: "You'll regret not going, though if you go you'll regret it even more."

Reading the internauts' comments on the 'Lonely Planet' blog, looks like that most of the people who have already been to the Shanghai Expo 2010  have had a real great time. Those who had originally planned to spend there just a few days, ended up staying for more than a week.

Nevertheless, the internauts are all suggesting to go in the late afternoon to avoid the long queues and hot weather. One of them writes: "After 5 pm the the experience is even better: the lines are mostly short, temperature is comfortable and the pavilions look beautiful with the lights on.

We visited almost 100 pavilions (and still missed a lot) and rarely waited more than ten minutes. The longest wait was 15 minutes for the Italian and UK pavilions and they were well worth the wait."

Among the most popular pavilions also Spain, Mexico, Chile, Thailand, and Morocco. As told by the anonymous writer: "The Australian pavilion was actually soliciting passersby to go in, using a loudspeaker to advertise that they were open till 11 pm."
It's a very crowded event, in average there are at least 450,000 visitors per day (mostly Chinese). Planning a visit in the afternoon is also the way to wait less at the security check: in the morning, it'd take at least 45 minutes to pass.

No exception, not even if you are wearing the newly released kicks from Nike. Designed to commemorate Shanghai’s World Expo, the shoes are in the same shade of red as the China Pavillion. To use the blogger's words: "A decent look and, most of all, they are Asia exclusives, so you can make your friends back home jealous."
